Ben's First Month

  

Ben has already seen and done quite a bit in his first month! (Technically, he has slept through most activities) =-). He's made his debut at The Cone, Museum, Kings Island, Shaker Run, Putters, numerous parks, etc etc. He's already up to 11 lbs 1oz and 23 inches long. Here are a bunch of pictures of him and Sammy from the last couple of weeks! Oh - and that first picture we might consider his first smile, but I'm pretty sure it was just gas so it probably doesn't count!

Ben is here!

Benjamin Smitty Robertson was born May 8th, 2012 at 7:39am. He was 8lbs and 3oz; 21 inches long. He is just beautiful! Came out with a bunch of dark hair on his head and looks just like Daddy! We are so thankful he is healthy and doing awesome! Sammy is being a great big brother - likes to push him in his swing, help feed him and do the "grasshopper" with him. He even let Ben sit on his lap for the first time today! We love Little Ben Ben (as I call him) so much and our family feels complete now that he's here!

2 Years Old

Sammers is officially 2 years old - turned 2 on April 27th! Can't believe our little bubba is 2 already. Here are some recent pictures and here is what he is up to:
- Trying to talk a lot more and says 2-3 word phrases "Sammy's turn", "Daddy's home", "Bunk and Jax", etc
- Loves all books again - not picky like he was a few months ago
- Starting to identify colors and shapes
- Favorite show - Little Einsteins; prefers it over Mickey!
- Likes to give bear hugs where he'll wrap his arms around your neck
- Favorite foods - definitely still pancakes, bops (grapes), mac n cheese and purple gatorade
- Anytime he bumps any part of his body on something he gets this pitiful look on his face and says "Mama kiss" and he wants me to kiss his boo boo to make it better
- Loves to go outside and swing or mow the grass alongside Daddy (with his bubble mower)
- Will tell you his little brother's name is going to be Ben
- Will tell you he's "2"
- Likes to identify his body parts
- Loves to play chase, but only if Bunk and Jax are participating
- Still loves to shoot hoops and I know I am bias, but he has surprisingly good form!
He is such a sweet little boy! He's going to be an awesome big brother. Ben is on his way (well will be tonight and in our arms tomorrow, May 8th). It's hard to believe we are going to have two little angels! 

Birthday Party

We had Sammy's 2nd birthday party a couple of weeks early in case Ben decides to show up a little early! He had a great time seeing his family and playing with Karsyn, Madie, Landyn, Quin, Kellen and Brooklyn! He loved having everyone sing to him (as you can see), playing with the balloons and his 4ft Mickey balloon glider. I have some other pictures I'll post later, but wanted to get this cute video clip up here! I can't stop watching it - he's so freakin cute!!

Big Boy Bed

Sammy is officially in his big boy bed/room! We weren't sure how he'd do because he slept so well in his crib - but he seems to really like it! Here are some pictures from the last few weeks. The one picture is Sammy with my Mom and Dad's new puppy, Sophie. He was leaning over to give her a kiss. Sammy made his first trip out to Shaker Run golf course this past week - we drove him around one of the 9's. He loves riding in the cart and yelling "hole". We received other good news this week - our favorite ice cream spot, The Cone, opened for the season. Sammy was more into riding Clifford than eating ice cream. It's been so nice getting outside a lot already - crazy weather. Has been in the 70's and even 80's and we're not even in April yet! Also got some pictures of the Whams brushing his teeth - it's like his favorite thing to do. He brushes like 10x a day! =-) We're getting anxious for baby Ben's arrival - officially decided on Benjamin Smitty Robertson for his name! Can't wait to have him here with us!

22 Months

Sammy had a fun long weekend - went to the Newport Aquarium and Entertrainment Junction! Here are a few pictures and recent video clip of the boys playing!

I am Sam

He says his name! What's your name? "Sam" he says. Cutest thing ever. Think we've asked him to tell us his name about 100 times a day since last Saturday when he started saying it out of the blue! And all of the sudden he says a bunch of "s" words - sweeper, slide, sky, sun, stack, etc. Joe and I use the phrase "shocker" a lot when one of us says/does something that isn't suprising. He started repeating that now and thinks its funny. He likes using the word "help" now a lot. Anytime he gets frustrated with something he in a slightly annoyed voice yells "help". We've definitely hit the stage where we really need to be careful about the words coming out of our mouth!
