First golf course experience

Sammy played his first few holes of golf last weekend at Greencrest Golf Course (just a few minutes from our house). He loved riding in the cart and tried driving a few times. We'd take him up to the green and give him a golf ball - he'd take it right to the hole and drop it in!

First Steps

I finally got this blipity blip website to work and post something! The last 2 weeks it hasn't let me upload anything so sorry for the delay in Sammy updates. So he has taken a few steps here and there, but last weekend he walked across the length of the living room and caught us by surprise. Of course Dad had awesome timing with the video camera and literally had just turned the camera on when he did it! He still prefers the speed crawl route to get to things, but he's getting much closer to being a full-time walker! Here's a quick clip...

Hueston Woods

The Smith fam headed to Hueston Woods this weekend and rented a cabin. Had a great time (and great weather)! Sammy had fun going to the pool, hanging out around the campfire, eating a bunch of good food and hanging out with his cousins.

13 Months

Sammy turned 13 months today. I'm a little behind on the pics! Last weekend was Dad's birthday - got pizza, went to the park and of course, The Cone. Sammy was thoughtful and got some Reds stuff for Dad - he's hoping we'll take him to his first game here soon. Here a few pics from the last few weeks.

Cake Man

For Sam's second 1st birthday party with the Smith family, Aunt Kelly made quite the Mickey Mouse cake for him! He thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up in the bathtub again!

1 Year Pictures

2 days after Sam's birthday, a friend at work who does photography did some pictures for us. They are the best pictures ever - I'm still not sure how I'm going to pick which ones to print and where to put them in our house because I love them all.

Happy Birthday

Our Sammy turned 1 today! He had a big day - we went to the pool, he came back and took a nap and ate lunch, then we went to the Newport Aquarium, brought home dinner and then took him to The Cone for some birthday ice cream. He went crazy on some strawberry-vanilla swirl and fell asleep in Daddy's arms while drinking his bottle. It was a perfect day. Sammy had his first 1st birthday party last Saturday with our Robertson family and then had a big 1st Easter with everyone on Sunday. He definitely enjoyed his cake and first chocolate bunny!
