Cake Man

For Sam's second 1st birthday party with the Smith family, Aunt Kelly made quite the Mickey Mouse cake for him! He thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up in the bathtub again!

1 Year Pictures

2 days after Sam's birthday, a friend at work who does photography did some pictures for us. They are the best pictures ever - I'm still not sure how I'm going to pick which ones to print and where to put them in our house because I love them all.

Happy Birthday

Our Sammy turned 1 today! He had a big day - we went to the pool, he came back and took a nap and ate lunch, then we went to the Newport Aquarium, brought home dinner and then took him to The Cone for some birthday ice cream. He went crazy on some strawberry-vanilla swirl and fell asleep in Daddy's arms while drinking his bottle. It was a perfect day. Sammy had his first 1st birthday party last Saturday with our Robertson family and then had a big 1st Easter with everyone on Sunday. He definitely enjoyed his cake and first chocolate bunny!

Easter Bunny

Sam went to see the Easter Bunny this weekend - not a fan! Didn't want any part of that bunny and I don't blame him. There was no way he was sitting on scary bunny's lap. So we brought him home and put bunny ears on him instead - not exactly a fan of those either. =-)Went to the Zoo - perfect day - the flowers started blooming and were beautiful. He rode the carousel for the first time - seemed to like it a lot.

The Great Debate

Sam was stressed this past week - he just wasn't sure whether to pull for UK or OSU. He thought to himself...well, we do have some family in KY, Mom went to school there for a year and they are definitely a stronger b-ball school than OSU, but Dad really likes OSU, I really like the color red and I guess I do live in Ohio...he just couldn't decide. So he wore his OSU hat and UK t-shirt and decided he'd be happy no matter who won! =-) Sammy turned 11 months old today! He went to the Zoo and Children's Museum last weekend - loved them both. We tried to take him to the Aquarium yesterday but it was an hour wait to get in. He went swimming today - seems to like the pool more and more each time!

Wild Walker Clip and Belly Laugh

A couple of fun video clips from this week. Sammy loves his walker - it's like a little bumper car. He likes walking over to the windows and chasing us and the dogs. The other clip of him laughing is awesome. I started sticking my tongue out and making a funny noise and he thought it was the funniest thing ever. We had the camera nearby - it was perfect timing. His belly laugh is the greatest thing ever!

Is it Spring yet?

Sammy loves being outside and can't wait for it to get warmer! We went for a big walk yesterday - it was awesome out - around 60. He started taking some steps forward while holding onto his toy this week. Though it's kind of like the saying "Ma Ma" thing - he did it a lot for one day and now he's kind of lost interest in doing it! =-)
Last weekend he went to Gracie Parkhurst's birthday party at "Pump It Up" - he had a blast in the inflatables and going down the big slide (so did Dad). He also got to see Quinn Toth and Bridget and Gigi Burke this weekend!
