Merry Christmas

As you can see, they boys had an awesome Christmas! December was such a fun month - seeing Santa at the Prasco Christmas event, going to see the lights at the Zoo, the Children's Museum (Sam went nuts over the Christmas train display), Kar and Madie's  birthday party, Entertrainment Junction, getting to spend time with family - they have had  a blast! Ben started crawling at the end of November and a couple of short weeks later - started climbing on everything. He's a wild man - into everything; he especially likes anything that Sammy might be playing with! He also is getting his first teeth (3 at once - ouch!) Sammy is a chatterbox - was totally into Christmas this year and starting to understand/ask about Santa. Ernie the Elf visited our house for the first time! Sammy's Christmas gift theme definitely involved trains - they are his favorite thing right now; can't get enough of them! Huge fan of Thomas and Friends...amazes me how he recognizes/knows their names when they all look alike!

Happy Thanksgiving

It was a beautiful Thanksgiving day and we took the boys to a park to play and for some pics. I thought these came out so cute. We had a big weekend seeing all of our family. We are SO blessed and thankful for all of our family and friends.
We've gotten all of our Christmas decorations up and know it's going to  be the funnest Christmas yet since Sammy will get into it more and understand things. Getting ready to pull out the Elf on the Shelf tonight for the first time - hope he's not scared of it! =-)

Thomas and The Lobster

It was a cold and rainy night tonight, so Sammy just went to a couple of houses in our neighborhood and then we went to Liberty Heights church - they had a Family Halloween Festival that was amazing! Candy stations everywhere, games, inflatables - Sammy had a blast! We weren't sure a few weeks ago that Sammy was even going to wear Thomas because he acted very scared of his costume (and others he saw), but he did great! Ben is a little angry with us after putting him in the Lobster costume that swallowed him up! It wasn't very nice of us - but he looked so freakin cute in it!

Roly Poly, Snuggie Buggie

I don't know why, but I love calling our Ben my little Roly Poly, Snuggie Buggie. He's so stinking cute with his chubby cheeks, big smile and funny chuckle. He just started rolling over from his back to his belly and started sitting up a little bit on his own. We tried cereal this week, but he still doesn't really seem to want it. He is also doing this funny thing where he sticks his tongue out all of the time (as you can see in some of these pics!).

Salt Fork

Last weekend we went with our family to Salt Fork State Park, near Cambridge Ohio. It has turned into an annual trip and we meet a bunch of our family from Akron there for the weekend and stay in cabins. We had an awesome time - weather was beautiful. Sammy had a blast with all of his cousins - think there were 12 kids there (counting Ben and three other babies!). Sammy had a little bit of a rough trip - got stung twice by 2 different wasps and fell out of bed one night! He was a trooper and just kept telling everyone about the "big bug" that got his hand. Can't wait for next year when Ben's running around like a wild man too!

Thomas the Train

Today we went to the Lebanon Railroad for a Day out with Thomas. It was really cute and Sammy was really really excited! Just kept saying - "Look at Thomas". "Ride the big choo choo". His buddy Kellen went and we all had a great time. We will most likely make another trip back there next year when Ben can enjoy it too! Ben had his 4 month appointment last week - weighs 16.2 lbs and is 26 1/2 in long. He's really doing great - starting to go to town on his kick mat and likes to play with his feet and toes. He smiles and laughs at just about any funny noise you can make.
