Sam had an awesome year of 3rd grade with an amazing teacher, Mrs. Holder. In April, he received a "PIE" (progress in education) award and was recognized in a special ceremony. We are so proud of him. He lucked out and his buddy Lucas from our neighborhood was in his class too this year so that made it even better! Sam played Lakota FC club soccer and had an unstoppable team in both the fall and spring. He played great defense and had a lot of fun, especially the last game of the spring season when we scored a goal! Sam played Thunderbird basketball and did great and then had fun playing in the Lakota March Madness Tournament. And through all of this, Sam worked on Tae Kwon Do and is getting close to testing for his black belt. Sam turned 9 this year - holy cow!
Ben had an awesome year of 1st grade and had a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Epstein. He made lots of good friends and excelled all year! Ben has been continuing with his American Ninja Warrior classes and continues to amaze us with his strength! He moved up to the 6-9 year old invitation class and keeps up with the bigger kids. He even won his first Ninja competition!
Ben also tried Upward basketball this year and loved it! He did so good - scoring a bunch of baskets and learning about the game. Ben turned 7 which I can hardly believe. I was able to go to his bday celebration at school and it was awesome to see how happy he was getting celebrated - showing off pictures, reading his favorite book, getting a chocolate cupcake and topped it off with leading a "go noodle" song/video. It was the best!
We went to Maumee State Park for a weekend last Fall, took a fun Robertson family trip to Myrtle Beach in February and made our annual Easter trip to Atlanta in April which is always fun! Just got back from Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, MI. Had a fun trip just the four of us and couldn't believe how cool the Sleeping Bear Dunes park was!
What are the boys into? They love playing with neighbor friends whenever they can. I've been a little sad because I get home and they just want to play with friends and not me anymore. They love the Nintendo Switch - especially Mario Cart. We have some fun family battles. We love to do family foosball and board games. Boys are getting into golf this summer! Doing First Tee camp and Sam doing PGA Jr. League. And Hogan is a beast - we all love playing ball with him - watching him fly through the air. Here are some memorable pics =-)
