July 2019

I'm not giving up on this...yes, it's been another year but by God I'm keeping this going! So what's happened since Summer of 2018? Obviously a LOT.

Sam had an awesome year of 3rd grade with an amazing teacher, Mrs. Holder. In April, he received a "PIE" (progress in education) award and was recognized in a special ceremony. We are so proud of him. He lucked out and his buddy Lucas from our neighborhood was in his class too this year so that made it even better! Sam played Lakota FC club soccer and had an unstoppable team in both the fall and spring. He played great defense and had a lot of fun, especially the last game of the spring season when we scored a goal! Sam played Thunderbird basketball and did great and then had fun playing in the Lakota March Madness Tournament. And through all of this, Sam worked on Tae Kwon Do and is getting close to testing for his black belt. Sam turned 9 this year - holy cow!

Ben had an awesome year of 1st grade and had a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Epstein. He made lots of good friends and excelled all year! Ben has been continuing with his American Ninja Warrior classes and continues to amaze us with his strength! He moved up to the 6-9 year old invitation class and keeps up with the bigger kids. He even won his first Ninja competition!
Ben also tried Upward basketball this year and loved it! He did so good - scoring a bunch of baskets and learning about the game. Ben turned 7 which I can hardly believe. I was able to go to his bday celebration at school and it was awesome to see how happy he was getting celebrated - showing off pictures, reading his favorite book, getting a chocolate cupcake and topped it off with leading a "go noodle" song/video. It was the best!

We went to Maumee State Park for a weekend last Fall, took a fun Robertson family trip to Myrtle Beach in February and made our annual Easter trip to Atlanta in April which is always fun! Just got back from Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, MI. Had a fun trip just the four of us and couldn't believe how cool the Sleeping Bear Dunes park was!

What are the boys into? They love playing with neighbor friends whenever they can. I've been a little sad because I get home and they just want to play with friends and not me anymore. They love the Nintendo Switch - especially Mario Cart. We have some fun family battles. We love to do family foosball and board games. Boys are getting into golf this summer! Doing First Tee camp and Sam doing PGA Jr. League. And Hogan is a beast - we all love playing ball with him - watching him fly through the air. Here are some memorable pics =-)

Summer 2018

I feel awful I missed doing a post for the boys 8th and 6th birthdays! And Dad turned 40 in may, so we basically partied from April 27 through the end of May! Before birthdays, we had a fun Easter trip to Atlanta - hung out with our cousins, went to the Zoo and cool trampoline park. Mom also surprised Dad and took him to two practice round days of the Master's! Boys had fun birthdays - going to The Web with their friends and having a birthday at home with family. They finished up the school year really well - on to 3rd and 1st grades in the fall. Sam had fun playing flag football in the Spring, while Ben is continuing to rock his Ninja class! Ben with his buddy Breylon below. We had a fun trip in June to the Columbus Zoo with Grammie. Then off to Orange Beach, Alabama for vacation! Had the best time and mostly enjoyed the pools and just being together. Then came 4th of July- Sam was in the parade again with his Taekwondo group. And been having at Kings Island - Sam riding EVERYTHING now- not scared of anything! And Ben loving Surf Dog, the yellow coaster and the swinging boat!

Winter 2018

Well looks like I missed Fall/Winter 2017, but here we go. Sam and Ben are doing great in 2nd grade and Kindergarten! They love Mrs. El Abbassi and Mrs. Murrell. Sam had a great soccer season in the fall and is still doing Tae kwon do - currently a blue belt. He just finished up his basketball season and scored points in multiple games. He's really great at defense and passing the ball. Just had me sign him up for flag football that will start in a month. Wish this boy would slow is roll a little bit - he still wants to be signed up for everything! Big Snug on the other hand loves his Ninja class and doesn't care about anything else right now which is fine with us! He has gotten so strong and I can't believe how good he has gotten at all of the challenges they come up with. He's been doing classes for just about a year now. They both are excited to get out on the golf course this Spring. So backing up to the fall, we had a great trip in November to Orlando -visiting Lego Land, The Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios/Animal Kingdom. Had the best time! Think all of us said our favorite rides were the Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom (at night) and Everest and the Avatar ride at the Animal Studios. It was so fun because the boys could ride just about everything at every park. We had a great Christmas and New Year's with everyone! Went to Great Wolf for a night last week and now it's already March this week. Looking forward to getting outside more! Starting to plan the Robertson boys 6th, 8th and 40th birthday party =-).
